WWU Hires Peace Corps Recruiter; Peace Corps Programs Accepting Applicants

Western Washington University’s Career Services Center is pleased to announce the hire of Abby Senuty to fill the role as the Peace Corps Recruiter for the university. Originally from Bellingham, Abby served in the Peace Corps in Morocco as a Youth in Development Volunteer. Her other professional experience includes leading virtual resume and interview workshops for young professionals and advising high school students about college applications.

The Peace Corps is currently accepting applicants for a variety of programs. Abby can advise students about what opportunities exist, how Peace Corps is adapting to the COVID-19 situation, and how to prepare a strong application. Whether students are certain they want to apply for the Peace Corps or just curious to learn more about this opportunity, they are encouraged to get in touch early to talk about their options.

Students are welcome to drop in to Abby’s virtual office hours (Tuesdays 2-4pm) or to schedule an appointment with her. Interested faculty are also encouraged to request a brief class talk and/or pre-re
