WWU faculty headed to Washington DC to present Mongolian Studies research

Four Western faculty members will attend the XVI Annual Mongolian Studies Conference in Washington, D.C., in early February to present their scholarship.

Attending the conference will be Professor of Health and Human Studies Sondra Cuban; Karen Stout, WWU's Bowman Professor and director of the Morse Leadership Institute; Holly Diaz, associate director of the Morse Leadership Institute; and WWU's Mongolian Studies Librarian Munkhchimeg (Chimgay) Tserendorj. 

Tserendorj will present "Bringing East to West: Examining Longitudinal Usage of Mongolian Collection at the Western Libraries at Western Washington University" as part of the IT and Library Science section of the conference.

Stout and Diaz will present "The Persistence and Thriving of Mongolian Women Leaders" as part of the conference's Women and Gender Issues section.

Cuban, along with a colleague from the National Academy of Governance, will present "Barriers to Women’s Employment in Mongolia’s Labor Market," also as part of the conference's Women and Gender Issues section.
