Western's Mountain Environments Research Institute to host Chris Stevens Feb. 1

Western's Mountain Environments Research Institute (MERI) Speaker Series will host Chris Stevens of the University of Nevada at Reno for "Development and application of a dual spectrometer albedometer in the Peruvian Andes" at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 in Academic West Building, Room 204.

The talk is free and open to the public.

WWU’s Mountain Environments Research Institute will be using the dual spectrometer albedometer for snow studies in the Cascades and on Mt. Everest this fall. There will be a demonstration of how the instrument works as 3 p.m. on the lawn in from of the Academic West Building. If you are interested in volunteering for snow sampling in the Cascades or Peru, please join us!
