Western Washington University Center at Olympic College Poulsbo Graduates First Business Administration Program Class

Western Washington University Center at Olympic College in Poulsbo has announced a significant milestone with its first graduating class from its College of Business and Economics (CBE) Business Administration bachelor’s degree program.

On June 11, the University will confer degrees to nine students who have completed the coursework required to graduate from the Business Administration program. A private reception will be held in their honor on the Poulsbo campus on Saturday, June 18.

This distinguished occasion in the school’s history reflects the graduates’ dedication to pursue the disciplines, perspectives, and ideas that will challenge them to achieve professional aspirations and satisfy civic responsibilities, as well as the university’s purpose to prepare students for positions of leadership and stewardship in future management and administration of multifaceted organizations.

“The WWU Center at Olympic College in Poulsbo was welcomed to the Peninsula two years ago with much anticipation and high expectations,” said Mary Sass, Poulsbo CBE program director and associate professor. “Since then it has become a wonderful example of how the partnership can leverage its considerable strengths and assets to serve the needs of the community and satisfy the educational and vocational requirements of its students.”

“From my vantage point, I know the impact of having a university of this caliber here in partnership with Olympic College Poulsbo will equate to success not only for the institutions, but also for the students that make Western their choice,” said Tatiane Simons, one of the members of the cohort.

The collaboration between Olympic College and Western Washington University has advanced a dynamic formula for success, with tenure track faculty providing leadership, instruction and direction to undergraduate and graduate programs. Moreover, the relationship continues to grow, developing new and essential educational opportunities to the diverse community and businesses on Peninsulas.
