TLA event May 16 to help folks connect, build community

What does it mean to cultivate a positive community where the whole person grows and relationships flourish?

Western Washington University's Teaching-Learning Academy has been studying that question, and on May 16, they'll hold an event on campus to help folks do just that.

The Connecting Communities event is an opportunity for people in the WWU community to get to know their neighbors on campus and across Whatcom County. The event is an open house that will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, in the Learning Commons in Wilson Library. Individuals and groups are urged to stop by and participate in various hands-on activities and gain/share strategies for how they build community within the classroom and within their organizations on and off campus. Light refreshments will be served.
