Steven Windell to speak in CBE strategy speaker series Nov. 30

Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics will bring Steven Windell to campus for its Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Communications Facility 115.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Windell’s business career has spanned more than 48 years. The focus of his career has been on business turnaround or startup with emphasis on the human factor and fact-based decision making. He served as CFO for R.W. Beck and Associates where his responsibilities included accounting, finance, information systems, human resources, and risk management. He also has held positions with Touche Ross and Boise Cascade.

Currently, Windell is on the Board of Directors of GeoEngineers, Inc. He also currently serves as CFO and board member of BIS Consulting, LLC.

Windell is a graduate of Whitman College and holds an master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Accounting and Statistics.

Western’s College of Business and Economics Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series program brings senior business leaders to campus to interact with students and share their perspectives on strategic management, leadership, and professional development. The Speaker Series is presented by the CBE’s Center for Excellence in Management Education.
