Share in culture of Japan at special night May 3

On Thursday, May 3, students participating in the Asia University America Program at Western Washington University will be presenting their culture at Japan Night in the Viking Union Room 565 on campus.

Visitors can enjoy karate and kendo presentations, experience tea ceremony, make Japanese headbands, take a “tour” of Japan, make origami, try on and take pictures in traditional clothing, write their names using Japanese calligraphy or play Japanese card games.

Students have also prepared samples of favorite Japanese dishes, with an assortment of rice crackers and fine Japanese green tea to complement.

This event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend.
