Pickford Film Center screening alum's documentary about Ukraine

Andriy Semenyuk's film began as a documentary about Ukraine's winemaking regions -- then war broke out.

The Pickford Film Center is screening WWU alumnus Andriy Semenyuk’s documentary "Wounded Land" at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23.

"Wounded Land," goes to war-torn Ukraine to tell the stories of people who, against all odds, remain actively engaged in protecting their country.

Semenyuk is a Ukrainian cinematographer specializing in commercial, narrative, and documentary film production. He served as the co-producer and cinematographer on the film.

Admission will be $9 for students and military or $12 with limited seats available.
