Sherry Burkey honored for work with state legislature

The University Relations division held a reception May 16 to honor those who worked to represent Western Washington University to the state legislature during the 2012 session.

Especially recognized was Sherry Burkey, associate vice president for University Relations and director of Legislative Relations at Western.

The 2012 legislative session ended without significant cuts to the university being added to the 2011-13 supplemental budget.
