Open House Gathering for Effie Eisses set for June 6, from 3:30-5 p.m. in Old Main 280

As previously announced in Western Today, Effie Eisses will be retiring from Western Washington University on Friday, June 9 after serving the institution in multiple roles over a tenure spanning 19 years.

An Open House will be held in the Career Services Center (Old Main 280) on Tuesday, June 6 from 3:30-5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

We welcome you to stop by at your convenience to share your well wishes with Effie and to drop off a card or other parting items you wish to share with her. If you are unable to attend but wish to send something in advance, please be in touch with Diane Flores (disakson@wwu.edu or 360-650-4240).

At Effie’s request, there will not be any formal program with remarks. She has however requested that if you are able to attend that you bring an item to donate to the Career Closet, as you are able.

We look forward to welcoming you to this gathering as we express our goodbyes and gratitude to Effie for the many ways in which she has served Western and our students. Her contributions to the career services field will carry on in our graduates as they carry on in their professional pursuits.
