Notification and Request for Comments Regarding the Year 7 Accreditation Evaluation of Western Washington University

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), an accreditor authorized by the U.S. Department of Education, will conduct its regular, Year-7 Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness for Western Washington University April 10, 11 and 12, 2024. The purpose of the visit is to evaluate the University against the Commission’s requirements for eligibility and accreditation standards.

Western Washington University is currently in good standing with the Commission and has been accredited continuously by NWCCU since 1921. NWCCU most recently reaffirmed Western’s accreditation standing in 2017.

Individuals who wish to send comments pertaining to Western’s accreditation are invited to do so. Comments must be signed and sent to NWCCU at one of the addresses below. To be considered in this review cycle, comments should arrive by March 26th, 2024.
