Tigard City Council picks Marty Wine as city manager

After nearly two hours of deliberations Tuesday night, the Tigard City Council came to an unanimous decision to approve Martha "Marty" Wine as their pick for city manager. Wine, 42, confirmed she is moving forward on negotiations with the city.

"I'm very impressed with the caliber of people and services [in Tigard]," Wine said. "I'm excited to work together to move issues forward."

Craig Prosser retired as Tigard's city manager at the end of July after six years on the job. At the time of his retirement, his salary was about $138,000, according to city human resources director Sandy Zodrow, who said Wine's salary offer would be in the vicinity of that.
