Health Care Authority PEBB In Person Open Enrollment Fair Nov. 6
PEBB is hosting their annual in-person open enrollment fair for employees and retirees. This is a great chance to learn more about health plan insurances PEBB offers and other PEBB benefits.
The PEBB open enrollment fair is a great in-person opportunity to meet with health plan insurance vendors. Who can provide information on changes in your current plan or can provide information on what is covered by a specific health plan you may be considering for 2024. It is also a great way to learn more about other benefit options that PEBB provides, such as the DCAP/FSA program and the Smarthealth incentive benefit.
For Whatcom County PEBB employees and retirees, the fair will be held on Nov. 6, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Whatcom Community College (WCC) in the Pavilion (PAV) Gym. Please note that HCA chooses the location for these events and this year it will not be held on WWU’s campus as it has been in the past. Please see details below for information regarding location and timeline of events.
For PEBB employees and retirees living outside of Whatcom County, PEBB is now offering multiple, in-person fairs throughout the month of November. This is a great opportunity for you to be able to attend an in-person event without the need to travel to Whatcom County. Please see the PEBB Benefits Fair website link below for more information.

Please review the WCC campus map prior to the event as it indicates parking locations for the event. The purple and yellow lots are closest to the event location. These two lots along with the orange lot are free to park in. The Cordata bus station is also not far from the college and there is a stop near the gym as well!

Timeline of Events at the Fair
The HCA has restructured the timing of the fair this year. While employees are welcome to participate anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., please note that the HCA has spilt the time. They will cater to retiring/retired employees in the first half of the event and current employees in the second half of the event.
Retiree focus: From 11 a.m.to 3 p.m..
During this time, the information presented will be focusing on providing information to retirees, retiring employees and continuation coverage. There will be a presentation on PEBB Retiree insurance from 11:30 AM to 12 PM.
Employee focus: From 4 p.m.to 7 p.m..
During this time, the information presented will have insurance information relating to current employees. From 5:30 p.m.to 6 p.m., Kaiser Health Insurance will be providing a presentation about Kaiser specific health plans.
