Memorable vacation: August 2009 in San Marino, Italy -- where my wife, Cathi, and I became engaged.

Favorite WWU memory: Impossible to determine . . . I've been here almost 20 years, and I've acquired so many! My interview for this position ranks right up there in the memorable-moments category, though.

Greatest accomplishment: Parenting -- with all its up and downs, successes and failures, joys and sadnesses.

Current favorite movie: A 1986, six-part BBC production of The Singing Detective (written by Dennis Potter and starring Michael Gambon) . . . absolutely wonderful.
