Garcia directs summer institute for minority scientists

Joseph Garcia, director of the Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership, directed the SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American Scientists) Summer Leadership Institute at the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, D.C., for 30 minority scientists. The objective of the institute is to prepare minority scientists to take on leadership roles in advancing science that serves underrepresented minority communities.
