Faculty Senate abstract: March 7, 2016
The Western Washington University Faculty Senate was called to order by Senate President Molly Ware at 4:03 p.m Monday, March 7.
Minutes from the Feb. 22 meeting were read and approved, with roster corrections.
Ware invited senators to attend dean search candidate presentations for the College of Business and Economics and updated them on new faculty orientation initiatives. She also told senators about a Board of Trustees special meeting held March 3 regarding shared governance at Western.
Zachary Dove, the Associated Students vice president for Academic Affairs, requested that faculty communicate with their students about upcoming AS elections. He said that students may file as candidates until April 5 and that voting will take place April 25 to 29.
