Entrepreneur Scott Renne to speak May 18 at WWU

Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics is bringing Scott Renne to campus for its Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series on Friday, May 18. Renne will speak from 3 to 4 p.m. in Communication Facility Room 115.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Renne graduated from the University of New Mexico. He is an entrepreneur and the founder and chairman of two companies that manufacture high-quality electrical systems: Blue Sea Systems, which serves the marine market; and Terra Power Systems, which serves the commercial-vehicle market. The two companies have more than 100 employees and are expected to produce more than $30 million in revenue in 2012.

The WWU College of Business and Economics Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series program brings senior business leaders to campus to interact with students and share their perspectives on strategic management, leadership and professional development. The Speaker Series is presented by the CBE’s Center for Excellence in Management Education.
