Delightful Dining - Acts of Kindness Week Recap

Dining at WWU is bringing Delightful Week to a close today. It has been a great week of special meals, random acts of kindness, and spreading joy to campus! Here’s a quick recap:

Day 1: Donation kits were set up in VU, Miller, and Arntzen markets for students to write a note of kindness, then fill the bag with items to be donated to Basic Needs!

Day 2: Viking Commons featured a festive Mardi Gras menu with blackened fish, cheesy grits, shrimp po’ boys and more!

Day 3: Free confetti popcorn cups were given out in the Viking Union for lunch. For dinner, Planet Eats at Fairhaven Commons served up climate friendly menus, DIY pudding “soil” cups, free flowers and fresh cotton candy.

Day 4: Barilla pasta took over Viking Commons for lunch, spreading more acts of kindness with free goodies and special grand prize raffle. For dinner, the Eatery at Ridgeway Commons served up an amazing surf & turf menu, including grilled skirt steak, and rosemary garlic shrimp, along with the return of free beautiful flowers and fresh cotton candy.

Day 5: Donation kits will be picked up and delivered to those with basic needs on campus, and "sweet treat" continues with special treat pop-ups in residential dining.

Dining at WWU's staff hope that you were able to take part in this amazing week of kindness and delight, and they can’t wait for the next one!
