Carver construction: Updates for the week of Oct. 19

Construction activities for the Carver Academic Facility project the week of Oct. 19 include:

• Finish demolition of Gym C.
• Continue demolition of Gym D.
• Continue demolition of Gym A.
• Continue grading and filling central corridor.
• Continue storm sewer site work:
  • Excavate trench for pipe
  • Remove excavated material (4 dump truck in use 7:30 am to 4:00 pm)
  • Gravel fill delivered to site
• Noise, dust, truck traffic, vibrations.

Next week’s activities:

• Noise, dust, truck traffic, vibrations.

As always, feel free to check in on the building's progress via the two live webcams. And remember that the areas near Carver, in addition to much of the rest of campus, are a bicycle and skateboard dismount zone. Police are issuing tickets.
