Carver construction: More demo slated for the week of Oct. 4

A town hall meeting for the Carver Academic Facility renovation is planned for noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, in Haggard Hall Room 253.

Now, on to the work planned for the week of Oct. 4:

• Continue demolition of central corridor (see attached floor plan)
• Begin demolition of east canopy (facing Fine Arts/Art Annex)
• 4 dump trucks to remove excavated material from site (7:30 am to 4:00 pm)
• Crews to work 10 hour shifts (7:00 am to 5:00 pm)
• Site preparation for storm sewer system begins at the southeast corner of the building:
  • Excavate trench for pipe.
  • Removal of excavated material
  • Gravel fill delivered to site.
• Noise, dust, additional truck traffic
