Cal State Fullerton's LaToya Green coming to campus May 17 to present 'The Decision to Lead'

California State University Fullerton's LaToya Green will present “The Decision to Lead” on Wednesday, May 17, from 5-7 p.m. in Communications Facility 110, in conjunction with WWU Scholars Week. Green's presentation is free and open to the public, and co-sponsored by  Women, Gender, and Sexuality StudiesThe Morse Leadership Institute and the WWU Debate Team

Green's work and research focuses on life and social issues from the perspectives of young, black communities. Her captivating and authentic style engages audiences while introducing listeners to tips and techniques that foster a stronger sense of purpose. For examples, see her mini talks.

Green is versed in advocacy, strategic planning, and leadership development. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communication-Public Relations and a master's degree in Communications Rhetoric.

Currently a Professor and Director of Debate at California State University Fullerton, Green is regarded as one of the most impactful members of the intercollegiate speech and debate community and a profound scholar of race and gender.
