150 top high schoolers to visit campus July 12 to 14

Western Washington University’s Office of Admissions will host its sixth annual Western Scholars Invitational July 12 to 14.

The three-day, two-night program is an opportunity for high achieving high school seniors from around the country to experience life as a college student and explore the opportunities available to them at Western.

The program provides a comprehensive view of the university, including overnight stays in residence halls, meals at the dining hall, classroom discussions, faculty lectures, access to the Wade King Student Recreation Center, campus tours and a trip to downtown Bellingham and Mallard Ice Cream.

Students will also learn about the admissions and scholarship process by reviewing actual applications to Western.  This year’s program will host more than 150 students and involve over 25 distinguished faculty members. WSI is the largest overnight program that is offered by the Office of Admissions each year.
