WWU's Psychology Department to offer free counseling to community members starting Jan. 1

Beginning Jan. 1, 2024, graduate students in Western Washington University’s Psychology Department will provide individual counseling, under faculty supervision.

These services are free.

Western’s Counseling Training Clinic has openings for individual counseling of adults, adolescents and children. The clinic offers in-person services for all ages and remote services for individuals 13 years and older from Jan. 1 through June, 2024.

Appointments for individual counseling are available from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Counselors are trained to deal with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, vocational choices, grieving, communication problems, parent-child conflicts and childhood issues.
