WWU's Institute for Critical Disability Studies launches two new support and discussion groups on Disability Pedagogy and Disability Justice

Come join one of the new support and discussion groups on Disability Pedagogy and Disability Justice. These groups have been created by and for disabled people, but nondisabled allies may also take part. For any questions, contact Andrew Lucchesi at lucchea@wwu.edu.

The Disability Pedagogy Group is designed for disabled teachers and student-support staff from any institution or grade level. We will discuss what it is like to teach or give support as a disabled person. We will also discuss teaching disability-related topics in various disciplines and contexts.

The Disability Justice Collaborative is designed for disabled activists, advocates, scholars, and radicals. We will discuss principles of Disability Justice, such as collective access, cross-disability solidarity, anti-capitalist politics, and recognizing wholeness. We will share important Disability Justice texts and have open conversations about our experiences.
