WWU to hold free mental-distress training for employees May 15
CW: Discussion of suicide prevention
The Counseling and Wellness Center invites faculty and staff, including student employees, to attend a free Mental Health First Aid training on May 15 via Zoom. Please register for the training by April 30.
Mental Health First Aid is designed to build the capacity of our community to respond to mental distress. Participants will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
Remember, you are never alone, and we can all help prevent suicide. Support is available 24/7. Don’t wait to start the conversation.
