WWU students, are you looking for a summer job? Become an Academic Student Advisor (ASA) or an Orientation Student Advisor (OSA)!

Academic Student Advisors and Orientation Student Advisors lead new students and families in their transition into Western, while working in a fun, fast-paced, and collaborative environment with a dynamic team.

Academic Student Advisors (ASAs) represent the Academic Advising Center. ASAs assist faculty advisors with academic advising and course registration via group presentations and one-on-one advising. ASAs present important advising information, work with students to develop class schedules, and answer advising and registration questions.

Orientation Student Advisors (OSAs) work as a team to welcome new students and families to Western and represent the New Student Services/Family Outreach office. OSAs lead orientation sessions for new students, share information about campus resources and services, and dialogue with students and family members about the personal, academic and social transition to the Western community and Bellingham area.
