WWU’s Sarah Bear Receives Prestigious Nursing Award

Western Washington University’s Sarah Bear, director of the university’s RN-to-BSN program, will receive the prestigious 2019 Professional Nursing and Health Care Council Nurse Leadership & Management Award from the Washington State Nurses Association on May 2.

This award is given in recognition of excellence in nursing leadership and management. Recipients demonstrate the promotion of professional development, facilitation of excellence in clinical practice, progressive leadership and management practice, and foster an environment that promotes creativity and enhances quality of care for patients.

Bear will be presented with her award at the 2019 Washington State Nurses Association Biennial Convention at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 at the Tulalip Resort Casino.
