WWU’s Meg Warren selected for the Fulbright Specialist Roster
WWU Professor of Management Meg Warren has been named to the Fulbright Specialist Roster.
With this three-year appointment, Warren is eligible to be paired with a host institution in one of more than 150 countries. Fulbright Specialists participate in short-term host-designed projects that may involve education through seminars, lectures, or workshops, consulting on specific projects, or developing curriculum. Host institutions can include universities, government agencies, medical or cultural institutions, or non-governmental organizations.
The Fulbright Specialist program, operated by the U.S. Department of State and World Learning as part of the larger Fulbright Program, connects academics and professionals with international opportunities to advance educational and other initiatives.
“I’m honored to be selected for this roster, and I’m excited to see what collaborations will develop through this opportunity,” said Warren.
Warren is a positive organizational psychologist specializing in allyship and well-being across cultures. Her award-winning research employs a strengths-based approach to examine how individuals from relatively privileged groups can effectively support the well-being of marginalized groups. She has published more than 60 journal articles and book chapters and authored two books.
With this new opportunity, Warren said she hopes to share her ideas with new audiences and expand ways to make a meaningful impact around critical social issues, while gaining knowledge, experience, and connections in return.
