WWU’s Everett Weekend MBA Program Taking Applicants for 2011 School Year

BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University is accepting applications for its accredited Master in Business Administration (MBA) program in Everett, with classes beginning in January 2011.

This is the second cohort for the MBA program, which has proven popular with students who appreciate the weekend based class schedule and the instructors who are full-time faculty members of Western’s College of Business and Economics.

"The convenient location, outstanding instruction and flexibility of meeting on alternating weekends provides students the opportunity to balance work, family and their pursuit of an MBA. The program is tailored to meet the needs of professional working adults", said Juergen Kneifel, current MBA student in WWU’s Everett program.

Another current Everett MBA student, Krista McCabe, said, “I considered all the factors I could think of: Small cohort size, general business degree, flexibility and reputation of program, cost, every other weekend schedule, location, ease of application process. I had considered other MBA programs and nothing could really offer the combined package that Western could.”

The WWU Weekend MBA at Everett program meets Friday afternoon-evening and all day Saturday, every other weekend for eight quarters, with traditional quarter breaks. Western has positioned its MBA program to be affordable and it is intended for managers and professionals. No particular specialization or management level is required, which enables the program to attract a diverse group where different perspectives enrich the learning climate.

The WWU MBA Program has been offering graduate business education in the Pacific Northwest for 30 years. WWU’s program is AACSB accredited, placing it as one of the top five percent of business schools in the world, and it has been ranked in the top 100 programs worldwide by the Aspen Institute.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply now to ensure all enrollment requirements are met by the application deadline of Nov. 15.
