WWU Nursing program to host screening of 'Everybody's Work' on Dec. 4

Western Washington University's Nursing Program is proud to host a free screening of "Everybody’s Work," a powerful documentary that delves into the systemic racism plaguing healthcare in the United States, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Arntzen 100.

This film showcases the stark realities faced by nurses and patients of color: their experiences within healthcare, nursing school, and at the bedside drastically differ for people of color compared to their white counterparts. This film challenges the notion that if racism isn’t personally experienced, it doesn’t exist. It urges us to confront the reality that it impacts us all and is everybody's work.

As the largest and most trusted body of healthcare professionals, nurses have the power to lead the charge against systemic racism. "Everybody’s Work" challenges us to confront these realities and take action. This film aligns with our mission to inspire nurses to develop their full potential through lifelong learning, honoring diversity, and upholding social justice. Join us in this crucial conversation to advance health equity and dismantle barriers to a healthier future for everyone.
