The concert will feature jazz standards presented by a variety of performers, including small student jazz combos, a student big band, and the new WWU Faculty Jazz Collective comprised of Mike Allen (saxophone), Julian MacDonough (drums), Adam Thomas (bass and voice), and Miles Black (piano and guitar).

The event is open to the public and free to attend.

The evening will mark the inaugural concert presented by the newly revised Jazz Studies program in the WWU Department of Music.  The Jazz Studies program, headed up by Mike Allen, has added a vocal jazz component to its curriculum and now features a greater range of study for instruments and jazz combos.
