WWU Men's Basketball Game vs. SPU to be televised by ROOT SPORTS

The Western Washington University men’s basketball team will host Seattle Pacific University this Saturday (Jan. 27) at 3 pm in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game that will be televised by ROOT SPORTS.

The Vikings are currently in first place in the GNAC with a 10-0 league record and are 15-3 overall heading into the second half of the conference schedule. WWU has a current 10-game winning streak heading into Thursday’s contest vs. Saint Martin’s (7 pm).

Saturday’s game vs. SPU is the only GNAC game that will be televised by ROOT SPORTS this year, with Brad Adam and Francis Williams calling the action from WECU Court. WWU alum and ROOT SPORTS VP/Executive Producer Jon Bradford (’84, Broadcast Communications) will serve as the director for the game.

This marks the ninth consecutive season that WWU will appear in a televised game by ROOT SPORTS, and the first time a game has been televised inside the renovated Carver Gym. The first regionally-televised game by ROOT/FSN Northwest was on Feb. 28, 2010, a 90-86 victory over Central Washington. WWU is 9-4 in games televised by ROOT SPORTS/FSN Northwest.

The game can be viewed in the Northwest on Comcast channel 30 (SD) and 627 (HD). Check your local listings for availability.
