Western Washington University’s Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) on the Peninsulas Announces Fall Slate of Public Classes

With three vital elements of learning – passion, engagement and relevance – Western Washington University’s Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) on the Peninsulas presents its fall catalog of courses to adults of all ages.

ALL offers short, university-level courses in the fine arts, humanities, current events and politics, as well as natural and social sciences.

Classes are taught by instructors recruited from a diverse pool of current and retired faculty as well as professionals and scholars from the community in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary exploration, discussion and exchange of ideas. There are no tests or grades; learn simply for the joy of learning.

“Impassioned instructors and engaged participants, along with relevant, university-level courses are the vital elements that make the ALL program unique,” said Candi Merrill, director of Operations for Western on the Peninsulas. “People also have been pleased with the short, three-to-six week courses, which are offered year-round, mainly on weekdays.”

Interested adults from all facets of life, working or retired, are welcome to participate. ALL offers inspiring courses not available elsewhere in Kitsap County
