Wellbeing at WWU: Data Gallery & Discussion on Oct. 15

Join us on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 8 -10 a.m. in Viking Union 565 for a data and community convening! The Counseling and Wellness Center, Health Promotion and Resilience, and Student Health Center invite staff, faculty and student leaders for breakfast and shared discussion about health and well-being at Western. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and the program will formally begin at 8:30 a.m. Our time together will include presentations of data and collaborative activities that prioritize community input and shared vision.

Our respective well-being centers and departments intend to disseminate important findings from the National College Health Assessment (NCHA), a nationally recognized research survey administered by the American College Health Association (ACHA). Data from the survey helps our campus community learn about the health habits, behaviors and perceptions of WWU students, guiding the development of public health goals for Western’s campus and evaluation of our programs and services.

The Office of Health Promotion and Resilience launched the NCHA at WWU in Spring 2026. Survey topics include, mental health, physical health, sexual health, belonging, personal safety, substance use and more. In addition, we will showcase data independently collected and/or reported from the Center for Collegiate Mental Health (CCMH) and Student Health Center data.

Your input, expertise, community assets and questions are important to the conversation and our shared vision for well-being across Western. We encourage you to register for this event at tinyurl.com/wwudatagallery2026. If you have any questions, feedback, and/or accommodation needs, please contact hpr@wwu.edu.
