August Drupal Training Sessions Available
Are you new to editing a Drupal site? Or are you a current Drupal user that wants to improve your editing game? There are some Drupal training sessions in August still open for sign-up:
- Tuesday, August 10; 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Thursday, August 12; 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

July Site Launches
There were two site launches completed last July. Information Technology Services launched a site for their Security Office, where you can learn about security best practices and get support. The Business and Sustainability program also launched a program site, where you can learn about “three colleges, two pathways, one program.”
Drupal Updates
Version 7.11.2 of Western’s Drupal platform was released, which updates a range of modules including but not limited to:
- Editoria11y (this module is now added and enabled by default in new site installs)
- Layout Builder Nested Forms
- Honeypot
- Entity Embed
New Modules
There are no new modules for this month’s release—check back in for new features next month.
Drupal Theme Updates
- 3.9.29: COVID Banner removed, bug fixes
- 3.9.28: General theme fixes
- 3.9.27: Bug fixes
Ashlar 4.0.0 update is coming soon!
A new version of Ashlar (which features some minor cosmetic upgrades to the front end) will be released in early September, with testing on development sites in mid-August.

CampusPress released basic fixes for plugins like Divi, Live Shortcodes, and Formidable, as well as their themes.
