'We are Orlando' vigil to be held Tuesday

A "We are Orlando" vigil will be held at noon Tuesday, June 14, in Red Square on the Western Washington University campus. If it's raining, the event will be held in the Miller Hall Collaborative Space.

A moment of silence will be held after an opening welcome from WWU's Joanne DeMark and Lise Fitzpatrick.

After the moment of silence, selected speakers will have the floor. The vigil will close with an opportunity for those present, including those in the LGBTQ community and their allies, to speak.

The meeting is being co-hosted by the LGBT Advocacy Council and the Minority Employee Council.

An additional vigil will be held at Whatcom Community College. Information on that vigil will be posted as it comes available.
