Water off on the Ridge today as city replaces a meter

On Monday, April 3, the City of Bellingham will need to shut down domestic water service to the entire Ridgeway Complex to replace a water meter on Highland Drive. We plan on the shutdown from 8am to 5pm to accommodate this work. During the shutdown, no hot or cold water throughout the complex will exist in showers, tubs, toilets, water taps, and water fountains.

Additionally, Ridgeway Commons dining service will be unavailable for breakfast or lunch. Residents should plan to use Viking or Fairhaven Commons during regular hours. Portable toilets will be available near Ridgeway Complex buildings, and residents may also use facilities in other campus buildings.

Water will be restored once the City’s work is completed, which may be prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 3, and barring unforeseen issues, not later than 5 p.m. If you have questions, please contact URFacilities@wwu.edu. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience as we work with the City on this important project for the Ridge.
