Visiting Fulbright scholar from Mongolia to talk about family life and society in that country Feb. 8

Erdenebaatar Erdenetuya, a visiting Fulbright scholar from Mongolian National University, will speak on the Mongolian Lunar New Year at noon Tuesday, Feb. 8, in College Hall Room 131 on the Western Washington University campus.

Erdenetuya's will create a vivid portrayal of society and family life in the modern Republic of Mongolia while discussing traditional Mongolian foods, celebrations and countryside.

This event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the international lecture series sponsored by the Center for International Studies at WWU.

Remaining lectures in the series this quarter:

  • Feb. 15: “Tropical Marie Biology: A Collaborative International Course,” presented by Deborah Donovan of the WWU Biology Department.
  • March 1: “Do Nations Still Matter in a Global Age?,” presented by Johann Neem of the WWU History Department.
