Update from the division of Business and Financial Affairs

Starting Feb. 1, 2026, Campus Recreation Services, the Child Development Center, Conference Services, and the Western Associated Students Bookstore will become part of the RESR unit under a new name: Risk, Ethics, Safety, Resilience, and Enterprise Operations (RESR-EO). 

The newly named RESR-EO will continue to be led by Darin Rasmussen, interim associate vice president for Risk, Ethics, Safety, Resilience, and Enterprise Operations (RESR-EO). This transition is part of Western’s ongoing efforts to better align administrative functions, reduce redundancies, and foster partnerships that support Western’s long-term financial stability. It will also improve collaboration, share expertise, and strengthen connections across units that support student success and campus well-being.
