UN Day discussion Thursday features three faculty panelists

"UN Day: Assessing Challenges to Global Governance," will feature three WWU faculty panelists with tremendous expertise: Political Science Professors Bidisha Biswas and Kendra Dupuy and Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies Professor Babafemi Akinrinade.

The United Nations is the world's foremost institution for maintaining international peace and security. Still, we have seen an increase in interstate conflict, human rights violations across every continent, unprecedented refugee crises, and a looming climate catastrophe. Join us for a discussion forum on UN Day to hear our panel of outstanding scholars assess the challenges to global governance and the UN.

The discussion forum will be Thursday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Fraser Hall 201. After the discussion, a reception will be in Viking Union 462. Food and drink will be served.
