Tree to be removed near Ridgeway Commons

The contractor installing backup generators for the kitchens on campus has determined that a tree near Ridgeway Commons will need to be removed to safely install the generator. Western’s arborist found that the tree’s location near a retaining wall has likely weakened its root base and that the tree presents a hazard. Western’s grounds crews will plant replacement trees in another location when the season allows.
