Today's employee recognition ceremony to honor those recently retired from WWU

Among those slated to be recognized at the 33rd Annual Spring Recognition Ceremony today are a handful of retirees.

On the list of employees retiring between June 1, 2009, and May 31, 2010, who will be recognized at the ceremony are:

  • Breta Brown, Administrative Assistant, College of Sciences and Technology (24 years)
  • Sally Eggen, Library/Archives Paraprofessional, Wilson Library (30 years)
  • Yolanda Graham, Assoc. Director of Academic Advising, Academic Advising Center (41 years)
  • Nancy Grayum, Coordinator Classroom Services, Academic Technology (23 years)
  • Sheryl Jensen, Program Support Supervisor, Residence Life (6 years)
  • Pilar Lim, Custodian, Facilities Management (15 years)
  • Marilyn Johnson, Payroll/Benefits Unit Manager, Human Resources (28 years)
  • Ellen Yang, Fiscal Technician, Accounting Services (10 years)

The ceremony will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. today, May 4, in the Performing Arts Center Mainstage Theatre on the Western Washington University campus. The aim of the ceremony is to recognize the tremendous efforts made by faculty and staff during the past year. A reception will follow the ceremony. Parking enforcement will be suspended from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. for the event.
