Student-led workshop on 'applied hope' set for May 10

Do you feel like everything is falling apart? It is. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t make it better. By working within our communities and recontextualizing our own contributions, we can both provide a stronger foundation for change and allow ourselves to keep living. This workshop will involve group and individual discussions and hope generating activities to re-energize ourselves. Some topics we will be discussing are applied hope, systems thinking, and healthy political engagement. By the end of this workshop you will have had an opportunity to hear about how other people benefit the world around them and think about your own life in terms of benefiting your communities.

Join us at WWU in Academic Instructional Center West room 403 on May 10 at 10-11:30 a.m. This is free, you don’t need to bring anything but an open mind! Email lawsonm5@wwu.edu for questions or disability accommodations. RSVP not required, bring a friend! Open to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
