Seven Vikings named USTFCCCA National Scholar-Athletes

Seven Western Washington University student-athletes, three men and four women, have been named United States Track & Field and Cross County Coaches Association 2010 Cross Country National Scholar-Athletes.

The Vikings recognized were Lauren Breihof (Jr., Vancouver/Mountain View), Business Administration and Marketing, 3.59 (4.0 scale); Eric Brill (Jr., Kent/Kentwood), Literature, 3.86; Greg Kubitz (Sr., Kelso), Mathematics, 3.82; Sierra Brisky (So., Acme/Mount Baker), Art, 3.81; Kirsten Moore (Fr., Carlsbad, CA), Environmental Education, 3.64; Danielle Slaughter (Jr., Spokane/Shadle Park), Biology, 3.72; and Jordan Welling (Jr., Burlington/Burlington-Edison), Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management, 3.50.

All of them competed at the NCAA Division II National Championships, where Western placed fourth in the men’s division and eighth in the women’s division.
