Review and Comment on the FY2025-26 Draft State Operating Budget Recommendation

Western’s FY2025-26 Draft State Operating Budget Recommendation is now available for review on the Strategy, Management, and Budget website. We invite Western employees and students to provide feedback before the budget is adopted by the Board of Trustees. This feedback will be shared with the President’s Cabinet and the Board members. 

This year’s recommendation addresses the ongoing structural gap between recurring revenues and expenditures rather than relying on one-time saving strategies. While the state’s $14–16 billion deficit resulted in reduced higher education funding, Western remains committed to maintaining academic excellence and supporting student success as enrollment levels increase. 

The comment period is open June 4, closing on June 11. Comments must be submitted through the feedback portal using your Western login. Following review by a moderator, comments will be posted on the FY 2025-26 Draft Operating Budget - Community Comments webpage.
