Public Works Project #657 Fraser Hall Renovation to begin in early January

Scope of Work:
A major renovation of the 13,000 square foot Fraser Lecture Hall will begin in early January. Improvements include replacement of the mechanical and electrical systems, new fire sprinklers, an upgrade of the building exterior envelope, installation of an elevator, new restrooms, new fixed seating and casework, interior upgrades, installation of a new water line to the building and associated site improvements for ADA access. The project construction site (grey area on map) will be enclosed by chain link fencing. Some pedestrian/bike paths will be rerouted. Three handicapped parking stalls adjacent to the east side of the building will be off-line. Two of those spaces will be permanently relocated to accommodate a new ramp at the east entrance to Fraser Hall. All other parking stalls will be unaffected, however, trucks and heavy equipment will be accessing the project site.

The construction contract will be presented at the December Board of Trustees meeting for approval. The contractor will begin mobilizing and setting up the construction fencing on January second. The project is scheduled to be complete by fall quarter 2013.
