'Drawing Jam' allows gallery visitors to create their own art

In addition to viewing the art of others, visitors to the new "Drawing Jam" exhibit in the VU Gallery on campus will be able to create their own art.

The exhibit showcases the ability of everyone to create art and highlights the organic nature of creativity and freedom of expression.

The exhibit, which opened April 4, is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until April 22 in the Viking Union Gallery, VU Room 507. The opening reception is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 5 in the VU Gallery.

The room is covered from floor to ceiling in white paper for gallery visitors to cover with their own artwork. Materials for the expression of the creative process are provided by the gallery.

For more information about the event, or for disAbility accommodations, contact Allie Paul by phone at (360) 650-6534 by e-mail at asp.vu.gallery@wwu.edu.
