Outreach and Continuing Education Announces New Selection of Professional Development Programs and Courses

Western Washington University is excited to announce a new schedule of professional credentials and learning opportunities. The programs are offered in a variety of formats, locations and dates, and new options are being added regularly.

Innovative community-based education programs such as the SEA Discovery Center Aquarium Exploration and Poetry Hour are free and open to everyone. The first professional programs, which begin in June, range from a certificate in energy policy to a full-stack coding program.

Other programs currently scheduled include Woodring College’s Media and Digital Literacy Certificate, College of Business and Economics’ Business Management Certificate and Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (in partnership with the University of Washington).

“Western has long appreciated the need to engage diverse learners across the state and beyond through quality location-based and flexible learning opportunities,” said Robert Squires, Vice Provost of Outreach and Continuing Education. “We are pleased to announce these outstanding educational opportunities for individuals who are looking to improve their careers and lives through Western’s programs.”
