Students present original works of contemporary dance Dec. 5 to 7

Students of the Western Washington University Dance program’s advanced choreography class in the Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Fall Into Dance” Dec. 5 to 7 on the Performing Arts Center Mainstage. Artistic Director Nolan Dennett calls “Fall into Dance “a feast for the senses that celebrates a broad range of contemporary dance.” The program is entirely student-run and features highly-innovative work, showcasing original choreography set to a wide range of contemporary and classical music, as well as silence and ambient sounds.

The 2013 “Fall into Dance” concert features choreography by Terriell Samuels, Kyra Skaggs, Hannah Rivers, Madison Tiller, Brynn Nielsen, Sami Hall, Chelsea Jade Zibolsky, Brittney Smith, and Katherine Freeman.

Admission to Fall into Dance is $12, with discounts for seniors, and a special $4 price for students with valid ID. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 6, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
