New arrangement for 12-passenger van rental to begin Monday, April 5

A new arrangement to facilitate the delivery and pickup of Enterprise 12-passenger vans rented by university departments will begin on Monday, April 5. This arrangement does not cover other rented vehicles from Enterprise or any other rental company. Those renting vehicles should contact Parking Services for all other rental vehicles needing to park for longer than 20 minutes.

Designated parking spaces

Parking Services has designated six spaces in lot 24G (Facilities Management) as reserved spaces for Enterprise Rental vans. These spaces are clearly marked "Reserved All Hours for Enterprise Vans."

Picking up the rental van

The WWU employee or student picking up the van will:

  • Move the Enterprise van out of its assigned parking space to allow for personal vehicle, being sure not to block traffic flow in 24G.
  • Park his or her personal vehicle in the space formerly occupied by the Enterprise van.
  • Remove the permit from the van and properly display the permit in his or her personal vehicle (rear view mirror, writing facing out).

Returning the rental van

The WWU employee or student returning the van will:

  • Return the van to one of the "Reserved for Enterprise" spaces in Lot 24G, being sure not to block traffic flow in 24G.
  • Remove the permit from his or her personal vehicle and properly display the permit in the Enterprise van.
  • Make sure the van is properly secured.
  • Return the Enterprise key per arrangement between the department renting the van and Enterprise.

Parking Enterprise vans on campus

Parking for the Enterprise vans will not be honored on campus over 20 minutes without a valid permit. A 20-minute-signed loading space or any regular space on campus may be used. A permit must be purchased for the rental van for any other on-campus parking. Permits will be issued based on space availability.
